Well I finally bit the bullet today and surveyed a flat in North London, Palmers Green N13. And it was good - easy to park and just 14 miles with my trusted Sat. Nav. No problems at all.
I’m certainly not going to restrict myself to Hertfordshire. My rates and turn around time are “very good” according to my customer - whose experience with his letting agent wasn’t at all good. They kept letting him down with the EPC survey - he got so frustrated he got on the phone to me and asked me nicely if I’d consider helping him. I couldn’t refuse him. He got his certificate well in advance of his new tenants, he was happy, I was happy only his agent complained.
Use an independent DEA. We’re keen, flexible and most of us don’t charge VAT so we’re going to be cheaper too.
