I heard a story today that there’s so much EPC work in Luton that DEA’s don’t want to travel to St. Albans to survey for EPCs.
That’s good news for all DEAs working in the St. Albans area.

April and first day marketing of the Home Information Pack will mean that a lot of EPCs will need to be provided as quick as possible. No more waiting around 3 days or more to get a certificate.
This should provide the much needed boost and rise in income levels for hard pushed domestic energy assessors. I’m already getting info. that rates are beginning to harden. My rates are now seen as attractive - but I’m not putting them up - just keeping them as before.

I was asked today, whether I could provide floor plans as well as an EPC. Well I said yes and now I can thanks to a very good offer from Metropix.
Only problems is I don’t know how much to charge for this service? any ideas?

Well my work in North London postal is beginning to build nicely. I had to survey a property very close to the congestion zone - so I did this at the weekend - just in case I took a wrong turn and had to pay an £8 charge.
The 40 mile round trip in traffic was the only downside - that took longer than the survey.

Phew, I had a busy day last Friday. A total of 4 properties in one day. Starting at 8.30 am and finishing the last at 3pm. With the inputting and generating the certificates taking until 7pm - 4 in a day is a good day’s work.
